My other passion next to sailing is mountaineering. I mainly find pleasure in longer alpine routes. The most important achievements so far include:

• Naranjo de Bulnes, Asturias, Spain (solo)

• Supercouloir, Chamonix

• Dachstein, Steinerweg

• Eigersüdwand

• Ushba (Caucasus)

• Several solo ascents in the Alpstein, Switzerland

 

It is the goal to link my two passions sailing and climbing. Ntombifuti is the ideal boat to take me to desolate places to climb where only few did before. This might lead to sea stacks in Scotland, boulders like Rockall, or real mountains in the Arctic where nobody has ever stood before.
